Sheila L. Cavanagh is a professor at York University , a psychoanalytic candidate in formation at the Lacan School of Psychoanalysis, co-Editor of Australian Feminist Studies, and a Toronto-based artist.

Her psychoanalytic scholarship on gender, sexuality, and Lacanian theory has been published internationally.
