Artist Bio.

Sheila Cavanagh is a Toronto artist and psychoanalyst whose work focuses on material memory. Using found architectural objects and reclaimed composite building materials, Cavanagh creates wall sculptures. Her Rorschach-like sculptures are inspired by nature and the unconscious. Each piece invites the viewer to find beauty in fragmentation, hope in despair, and renewal in demolition. Cavanagh choreographs her own artistic explorations alongside a community of artists at the Akin Collective in Toronto. Her art has been exhibited in the Society of Canadian Artists 2026 International Online Juried Exhibition, the Art Gallery of Mississauga, the Latcham Art Centre in Stouffville, and the Propeller Art Gallery. Cavanagh has an upcoming two-person exhibition titled ‘Ruins of the City’ at the Assembly Hall Gallery in Etobicoke.
